Moon Dog Wild West is known as the Hopkins ranch: three levels, a tap wall, a mechanical bull, arcade, kids ranch until 10pm, cactus rooftop, a room that is not a quiet wine bar.
You walk Hopkins from Footscray station, about five minutes on the house FAQ. 54 is the Franco Cozzo fascia they kept. Nhu Lan is 116 further along. You want the brewery that still wears the furniture-king sign. Inside it is wagon wheels, cowhides, a taxidermy cobra, horseshoe booths, a 10-seat private dining room. Broadsheet named an 800-capacity sprawl and a Pennsylvania bull as the centrepiece. Love Your West walked the same saloon, pinball upstairs, dog-friendly rooftop. That is the sitting. It is not Hop Nation on Whitehall and it is not Josephine's maze.
