What people get wrong
Learning Precinct is a cluster, not one gate. Years 10-12 at 1 Kinnear Street. Years 7-9 at 298 Barkly or Pilgrim in Seddon. Catchments change. Use Find My School. We last walked this on 2026-09-25. Hours move with the week. Checking the shopfront keeps the night easy.
What does Footscray High School do?
Footscray High School runs a three-campus government secondary: Kinnear for years 10 to 12, Barkly and Pilgrim for years 7 to 9, with VCE and VET in the senior pitch.
If the letter says Kinnear you are heading behind Victoria University toward the river, 1 Kinnear Street, years 10-12. If it says Barkly you are heading to 298 Barkly Street near Geelong Road, years 7-9. If it says Pilgrim you are leaving Footscray for Seddon, corner of Pilgrim and Albert, opposite VU Nicholson, years 7-9. Phone (03) 9112 9500. Site footscray.vic.edu.au.
This is not Footscray Primary at 100 Geelong Road. This is not Footscray City Primary at 10 Hyde Street. This is not VU Park at 70-104 Ballarat Road, even if Kinnear sits behind that university. This is not VU Nicholson, even if Pilgrim stares at it.
Who should come here?
Come here if Find My School or an enrolment letter names Footscray High School No. 7842 and a campus.
Enrolment sits with student admin, not a rental advert and not this page. Catchments change. Use Find My School. If you wanted a Geelong and Barkly primary, that is Footscray Primary No. 253. If you wanted Hyde Street, that is City Primary No. 1912. If you wanted a TAFE desk, Nicholson Campus is the other side of Pilgrim Street.
Bring the year level. Years 7 to 9 split across Barkly and Pilgrim. Years 10 to 12 sit at Kinnear. If the letter is silent, call before you walk.
Hours, fees and how to book
School days at all campuses begin 9:00am and finish 3:15pm. Arrive ten minutes early. Call (03) 9112 9500. Last checked 2026-09-25.
Kinnear supervision inside the building starts 8:30am. Grounds run to 3:15pm. Bus stops stay supervised to 3:30pm. Pilgrim and Barkly supervision inside starts 8:50am. VET on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons can run to 5:00pm.
Do not invent Saturday school. Tours and transitions sit with the campus the letter names. Enrolment for the next year still lives with 7842-studentadmin. Fees, camps and lockers still live with the office. Confirm the campus before you take a morning off work.
Which door and how to park
Kinnear sits on the park edge, corner Kinnear and Farnsworth, behind VU Park. Barkly sits at 298 Barkly Street. Pilgrim sits opposite VU Nicholson in Seddon. House page says 1 Pilgrim Street. Home footer says 3. Confirm the fascia.
Kinnear is a longer walk from Footscray station than Barkly. After dark leave toward Farnsworth or Ballarat Road lights, not a river shortcut. Barkly sits nearer the hospital traffic and the 82. Seddon station is the closer rail if the letter said Pilgrim.
A Kinnear student walked to 298 Barkly is a wasted first period. A Year 8 walked to 1 Kinnear is a senior building that is not their classroom. Do not treat a 3011 postcode as one gate.
If you need a different door
If you wanted Footscray Primary, turn to 100 Geelong Road. If you wanted City Primary, Hyde Street and the park. If you wanted VU Park degrees, 70-104 Ballarat Road. If you wanted Nicholson TAFE or EAL, stay on Nicholson and Buckley. If you wanted Eden Academy, 282-288 Geelong Road in 3012.
