What is Footscray Plaza known for?
Footscray Plaza is known as the Sunday grocery building: supermarket, discount department store, chemist, a bakery tenant that comes and goes, and a deck people treat as all-day parking when the Irving boom is slammed.
You walk from Footscray station toward Albert or Paisley, about 400 metres on the house getting-here page, and you enter the car park from Albert. Parking from $2 on that page. English is the working language. Other languages work at Coles because this is Footscray. It is not charming. It is infrastructure. House retailers still name Coles, Kmart on the lower level by lift or travelator, Liquorland, Priceline and Tatts, Anytime Fitness 24/7 on that card, Mr Piccolo at the entrance, My Touch across from Coles, Nan's Bakehouse on Albert, Uniting on the mezzanine, and Super Asian Foods. Confirm tenants. Shops move. A 2014 Banco redevelopment story still sits in leftover copy: 280 apartments, JAM Architects, Hacer. That is background. Your job is the concourse and the boom.
This is not the Irving hall. This is not Little Saigon. Savers is 33 Albert, plaza-side, a different shopfront. Chemist Warehouse in this directory is a Barkly listing. Metro West on Paisley is another centre. Do not mash them into one indoor mall in your head.
You came because Sunday Irving is a shutter, or because a friend said meet at Coles, and because a visitor who parked Irving with a plaza letter is how a Saturday dies. Two decks. Two jobs. Stay on Albert. The travelator and the red Kmart fascia are the tell. A roast chicken at 7pm when the hall has been closed for hours is the honest errand. The plaza will take a trolley. It will not replace sawtooth coriander. It will not open the burned hall.
What should you buy at Footscray Plaza?
You should buy milk, nappies, a Kmart plastic, a chemist run, and a Sunday shop when Irving is a shutter, plus the tenant clock before you trust a plaza marketing hour.
Coles is the grocery people mean. Kmart is downstairs on the plaza card. Liquorland and Priceline sat on the 2026 retailers list. Confirm the glass. You will not replace Mesnoy injera. You will get a roast chicken when the hall has been closed for hours.
If you wanted herbs, wait for Tuesday Irving. If you wanted Green Valley, Nicholson. If you wanted Savers, 33 Albert, still plaza-side, still a different door. If you wanted a phone repair, My Touch is across from Coles on that retailers list, closed Sunday.
Stay long enough to match 18 Albert to the concourse. After dark the streets around Coles are the block the safety guide argues about. Buy the milk. Walk out to Barkly or Hopkins. Do not make the mall the commute.

Kmart on the plaza retailers card is Monday to Friday 8am to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 8pm. That is a different clock in the same building. Cite the tenant. Do not copy Coles onto Kmart.

Sunday Irving is closed. Sunday this building is why the suburb still feeds itself. Little Saigon Market will not save you. It burned. Do not invent a hall clock for a plaza concourse.
How do you get to Footscray Plaza?
Walk from Footscray station to Albert or Paisley. House getting-here still names about 400 metres, Sunbury Werribee or Williamstown line, and buses 220 or 216 at Footscray Plaza SC / Paisley Street.
Enter the car park from Albert Street. Do not enter Irving and call it this deck. The Coles store page leftover still says corner Paisley and Albert. Same building. Different face.
After dark, leave toward Barkly or Hopkins. Paisley and the mall are the blocks people skip as a commute even if they just bought milk. Rideshare pin on Albert or Barkly, not a service lane.
If you already parked Irving for the hall, this is a walk, not a second boom. Do not drag a market bag across and review the wrong car park. The Irving deck is more than 800 bays for the produce hall. This deck is Albert. Two booms. Two receipts. Name the street on the ticket before you walk away from the car.
